COURSES DETAILS
Project Design and Management:
Approaches: Logical framework or Prince2
Objective:
At the end of the course, participants are able to design, plan and manage a project following the Result-Based Management concept.
Description:
The course aims to strengthen the capacities of project teams to design and plan their projects. It introduces Results-Based Management (RBM) - a management strategy that focuses on performance and achievement of results - and its application in project management.
The course provides tools to analyze problems and stakeholders, to define objectives, and to program activities. It also introduces the design of monitoring and evaluation systems.

Project Monitoring and Evaluation
Objective:
At the end of the course, participants have understood how to measure the results of a project, by improving their capacity to design and use monitoring and evaluation systems.
Description:
This course focuses on monitoring and internal/external evaluations and shows how these processes are used to measure the results of a project. It provides a step-by-step guide on how to monitor and evaluate projects and adapt them if and when necessary.
The course contributes to the implementation and practical use of Results-Based Management (RBM) - a management strategy that focuses on performance and achievement of results - and its application in project management.

Training of Trainers
Objective:
At the end of the course, participants have understood the basics of adult learning and are able to train a group utilizing the relevant methods, techniques and tools.
Regular/advanced trainers will in addition be able to identify training needs, to design training sessions and to ensure proper follow-up of courses both for clients (evaluation) and for trainees (knowledge transfer).
Description:
Training adults requires technical competencies. This course provides specific knowledge to ensure good learning.
The course can be for occasional/beginners trainers (short version) or regular/advanced trainers (long version):
- Short version: Focuses on basic knowledge about adult learning as well as the methods, techniques and tools to properly deliver a training course.
- Long version: In addition to the above subjects, the course covers a) training needs assessment, b) training design techniques and c) Knowledge transfer and d) Training results evaluation

Needs Assessment
Objective:
At the end of the course, participants are able to conduct a needs assessment utilizing the proper processes and data collection tools.
Description:
Assessments are a vital element of the project planning process: they provide the information on which decisions to intervene or not will be made. This course enables participants to improve the quality of their needs assessments and therefore the relevance of potential interventions that may follow.
The course presents the various tasks to be done throughout the whole assessment process and focus on techniques and tools used to collect information during interviews with stakeholders. It includes a one-day field exercise to practice the newly acquired knowledge and skills.
